Czech Motorway Vignette Prices 2026

The electronic vignette system applies to tolled motorway use by relevant four-wheeled motor vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes unless an exemption applies. Motorcycles and towed vehicles are not treated as separate vignette vehicles. The obligation is about using tolled motorway sections, not simply crossing the Czech border.

Before buying, check your route against the official toll-section map. A trip that stays on ordinary roads may not need a vignette at all, while a route that joins a tolled motorway for only part of the day still needs the correct valid product unless the vehicle is exempt.

The official eDalnice price list valid from 1 January 2026 sets the standard-fuel annual vignette at 2,570 CZK, the 30-day vignette at 480 CZK, the 10-day vignette at 300 CZK and the 1-day vignette at 230 CZK. Choose the duration around actual motorway use rather than the total number of nights in Czechia.

For a short tourist road trip, the 10-day or 1-day products can be enough; for a longer loop, compare the 30-day product. Always verify the start date before payment because a wrong date can turn a correctly entered registration plate into an unusable purchase for your travel day.

The 2026 state price list also has reduced rates for biomethane and natural-gas vehicles and a lower tier for qualifying plug-in hybrids with CO2 emissions of no more than 50 g/km. Pure electric and hydrogen vehicles are shown at 0 CZK, but the administrative treatment depends on where the vehicle is registered.

A qualifying electric or hydrogen vehicle registered in Czechia is automatically exempt. For a vehicle registered abroad, eDalnice says an exemption notification must be submitted before using the tolled motorway. Do not assume that a foreign zero-emission number plate alone is enough for the Czech enforcement system.

The state e-shop is edalnice.gov.cz. The official instructions also name Czech Post branches and EuroOil or RoBiN OIL petrol stations as physical sales points, plus self-service kiosks mainly near border areas. eDalnice explicitly recommends not buying from merchants outside the official sales network.

In the e-shop you enter the country of registration and licence plate, select the fuel type, vignette duration and start of validity, review the details and pay. Save the confirmation and use the official validity check when you want to confirm what is attached to the plate.

A Czech rental car may already have a valid vignette. Ask the supplier and verify the registration plate in the official eDalnice validity checker before spending money. A second purchase for the same vehicle and dates does not improve motorway coverage.

If you are collecting at Prague Airport, make the vignette check part of the pickup inspection alongside the fuel policy, damage record and cross-border permissions. That avoids discovering the question only after you have entered a motorway.

Treat the vignette as one part of the driving plan. Confirm the registration plate, registration country, fuel category, validity start and whether your route actually uses a tolled section. Then keep your rental or vehicle documents accessible and follow current road signs and traffic restrictions.
